Day 6 part 2 in Mexico

Nancy and Steve had told us that there was a path along the top of the breakwater, so on Sunday after the RV washing was done (and paid for), we walked over to find the path...

We were anticipating a walking path...

But it was like a broad roadway!

Up close, we could see how big the blocks are that make up the breakwater.

At the end of the open path, there were rocks -- there had been other younger people who were heading out to fish, and they had climbed it... so Carl decided to try...

He had a lot of balance corrections needed, but ...

... eventually made it to the top!

He could see the RVs in the RV park (the arrow points to where Gracie and Steve and Nancy's rig are parked)...

... and looking south toward the resorts along the water and Puerto Penasco in the distance.

We decided to go to Wrecked at the Reef (right there at the RV park) for burgers for our last night in Mexico.

The setting crescent moon reflected in the water was so beautiful -- none of the pictures we took show it well -- but trust me, it was beautiful!

What a beautiful last day in Mexico!

Days 5 and 6 in Mexico

Saturday was a rainy day, so we spent the majority of the day inside. We did go out to the Sonoran Grill for late lunch / early supper -- it is located very close to the RV park so we didn't have to drive far -- but we didn't take any pictures all day long!

Sunday was a gorgeous day -- the prettiest day of all during our week! Carl and I joined Broadway Christian in Mesa for services via the internet and then headed outside.

I went up on the roof to make sure that the tape we applied back in Elgin was still holding (https://journeyinamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2025/09/its-always-something.html and https://journeyinamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2025/09/continuation-of-roof-repair.html) -- and it looks good!

I also took a picture of the new slide topper on the front driver's side slide that was replaced in Tucson in October.

And I also took a picture of the passenger side slide being out (it is hard to see from this angle) just to prove that got fixed in Tucson too!

Carl wanted to tell the RV washing guys not to wash or wax the area that had just been painted, so we looked up the translation and he took a picture so he could show it to the folks when they came.

We were enjoying sitting outside...

... so pretty!

The RV wash guys came and got started.

There was a family group down the beach enjoying a volleyball game.

Other folks were enjoying the water.

Meanwhile work continued on Gracie...

They were washing the roof...

... and the rims!

The back....

... and the front!

Nancy took advantage of getting a massage on the beach from Maribel.

Carl got a massage too, though he decided to get it inside the rig -- Maribel was able to bring her massage table inside and set it up. He said it was among the best massages he has ever gotten!

Day 4 in Mexico

Friday was overcast and rain was threatening, so we stayed around the campground...

There were some waves breaking against the breakwater.

The waves weren't as high as we had seen them earlier in the week, but it was still kicking up spray.

We went for early supper at Grapes and Barley -- we sat under a cover outside, and had to move our table a little to keep all of us dry when a shower passed through.

Steve and I both got Prime Rib sandwiches with onion rings...

Carl opted for Mexican food (because he hasn't gotten enough yet)...

And Nancy got a fish entree!

We decided to take advantage of their "Penasco" sign for a group picture... note the progression in the pictures:

Carl steals a kiss!

Look at those lovebirds!

This is an actual Lovebird who was there in a cage at the restaurant!

After eating, we walked up to look at the wine bar area (we could have eaten inside there) -- this piece of artwork was on the stairway on the way up.

We are enjoying all the eating options that Nancy has provided for us!

Day 3 in Mexico

Thursday morning, Carl got the electrical hooked up and working -- whew!

We were scheduled to take Gracie to the paint shop at 9am...

We left Gracie in the shop up that hill (we forgot to take pictures at the shop!)

After picture of the painted piece

It looks great!

In the afternoon, Nancy had several places to take us...

We stopped at La Casa Del Capitan in Puerto Penasco for appetizers -- the arrow points to where The Reef RV Park is located.

Waiting for our order (arrow again points to The Reef)

Looking out across the water in front of Puerto Penasco

We were enjoying the patio at La Casa Del Capitan.

The Malecon -- this used to be a major business district, but it seems that a lot of the restaurants and shops have closed and moved to other locations in town.

An "interesting" nest of wires!

From La Casa Del Capitan, we went to Jessy's Fish market and got shrimp and fish, then to CS Food Service (an American restaurant supply store) just to look around, and then to...

... La Negrita for dinner.

Interesting wall art inside the restaurant

Signs for the rest rooms

Our meal cooked in this lava rock bowl -- it is a Volcanes Molcajetes with shrimp, chicken, and beef -- delicious!

We stopped for gelato on our way home, and got back to the RV park just after sunset...

Yet another sunset picture

We were so happy to have the electrical working (the batteries were charged to 100% by the time we got back from dinner), the painting done, and another beautiful day! We have arranged to get the rig washed and waxed on Sunday before we leave on Monday!
