We had a planned stop in Kearney (pronounced "Carney"), Nebraska for Thursday night to visit friend Celesta, so on Thursday morning, we continued west to Kearney.
 |
| On our way out of North Platte, we saw a sign that we had seen Wednesday evening -- we had both thought that they would be advertising Beer Cheese soup, but, no, just beer at the Bottle Shop! |
Since we had a short drive from North Platte to Kearney, we arrived early enough to have lunch with Celesta and friend, Kary.

| We decided to try a Nebraska local favorite, Runza... |

| They are famous for a sandwich of the same name, made of ground meat with cabbage, stuffed into fresh bread. We also got onion rings. |
 |
| We forgot to take a picture, but Celesta remembered to take one -- so this is Kari with Carl and Patti. Unfortunately we didn't get a picture with Celesta! |
We decided to stay at Cabela's as they allow RVers to park in their lot... so we went in to do some shopping...
 |
| Funny sign! |

| Cabela's provides dog kennels for customers to use while they are shopping. There was also a small horse corral. |
It was so nice to meet up with Celesta, and to get to meet Kari. So much fun to meet friends along the way!
