Our friends, Don and Linda, who live in Venture Out year round, let us know that there was going to be a "Rounder" party on the Wednesday after we returned from our trip. Initially we thought we'd be gone to Dewey by then, but as time progressed we realized we'd probably need to do doctor appointments that would keep us in Mesa, so we asked them to get tickets for us.

They served KFC chicken, rolls, potato salad, and watermelon, with root beer floats for dessert.
We enjoyed getting together with this group of folks who live in Venture Out year-round (i.e. "Rounders"). Our understanding is that about 20-30% of the park's population lives here year-round.
