A big to-do moved to "done!" today!

One of the tasks that has been on our to-do list was to sort and inventory everything in the shed which is located on the Venture Out lot. We decided that Saturday was going to be a good day to get that accomplished!

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the shed before we started, but this is a picture after we had taken almost everything out of the shed. There were already 3 sets of shelves in the shed, in addition to a cabinet and a couple of shelves on one wall. Carl had gotten one additional set of shelves that he had put together on Friday in preparation for our sort and inventory day on Saturday.

After we got everything out, we numbered all the shelving units and shelves and Carl started bringing items back in. I had my laptop in the shed and inventoried everything as he brought it in, recording where it was stored in the shed. We tried to put "like" things together, and plan that things we need more frequent access to (e.g. weed killer to take care of weeds in the rocks/yard) was in an accessible spot (we already had weed killer in the shed, but could not find it and so had purchased some more when we were here in December).

This is a view into the finished shed. The bikes are only in the shed when we're here on the lot (they travel with us). The large green container has some items that need to be sorted through -- in fact, there are a number of containers that still need to be sorted through, but we got everything back into the shed and it is a LOT more organized.

The shelves to the right are attached to the wall with a cabinet underneath. The previous owner of the lot evidently had a washer and drying in the shed at some point, but we think it probably was not recent because it does not appear that power works in the shed.

We still have a few containers that are empty on shelves, in addition to some shelves that have available space. It is nice to not have it completely full. We also made some notes on the inventory about things that we would like to work on if we have time and energy... but at least some of the tasks could be accomplished in another year if needed.

We are really glad to have this task on our to-do list moved to the "done" category!
