Sunday activities

On Sunday (Mother's Day), we were sitting outside enjoying hot tea and coffee with our breakfast,

Carl got his drone out and took a couple of pictures of our campsite...

... and of us enjoying our breakfast.

A young entrepreneur walked up...

He let us know that he and some other boys were rock collectors and they had rocks for sale over at his family's camper nearby. He brought some samples -- and indicated that they were having a sale for Mother's Day! We told him we would be over in a few minutes, which caused him to yell over to his friends, "We have one!" (At least he didn't say, "We've got a live one!")

When we walked over to the camper, the entrepreneur was there with three boys from another camper. We asked if they were traveling together, but they had just met up at this camping location. They indicated that they had found many of the rocks that they were selling in this area, and one of the mothers evidently has a rock tumbler and had tumbled some of them. We patronized their shop (as did a couple of other folks who were camping in the area).

In the afternoon, we decided to try riding our bikes to a lake (tank) that was down the way from us about 10 miles. We weren't sure we would want to ride that far over a bumpy road, but decided to at least start that way.

We found it was pretty bumpy, and Carl had brought the drone with us to be able to take some pictures or videos, and it was bouncing in the case he uses. He decided to take the drone out and try the "Follow Me" function -- here's a video of that:  https://youtu.be/w5ahIrakZIE

We were about half way to the tank, but the bumpiness of the road was taking its toll, so we decided to head back. Carl wanted to stop at the relatively clear area where he had flown the drone a couple of days before to try some other features...

Another "Follow Me" - this time following us both: https://youtu.be/hNGTTio716k

"Dronie" -- where it goes up and out and then comes back -- for some reason, the video split into two pieces: https://youtu.be/gkpWNMRp_Bg and https://youtu.be/KezEDWbXNkU

"Circle" : https://youtu.be/KezEDWbXNkU

Trying out the features of the new drone!
