Bike riding in the desert

On Tuesday afternoon, we finally got the bikes out of the Jeep -- we had brought them along because we wanted to try biking some of the trails around us in the desert.

We headed out further along the road that we use to get into our camping area.

I had stopped before a wash

Considering whether it was better to ride or walk the bike through the wash...

Riding through a less-deep wash

Carl took a video as I was going through one of the washes... there are a lot of rocks and loose soil in the washes...

Note that I was using the throttle to help with getting up the last part of that wash!

I don't know how Carl takes a video while he is riding the bike... I have to have both hands on the handlebars and one hand ready to brake if needed!

The road was definitely rougher than I had thought it might be!
