NIRVC

From Firebird Tires in north Phoenix, we headed to Surprise to NIRVC for some service on Gracie...

The "campground" was quite full, though most were just parked there (no one staying in them).

Rettrobands - a product engineered and sold by NIRVC

Looking out from the customer lounge on the show coaches stored inside.

This used to be where they had inside storage for RVs. Within the last two years, they have purchased the property across the street and it is now full of stored RVs and bursting at the seams.

The service bays are over to one side.

Another view of a Rettroband

When we got Gracie back in the "Campground" we discovered that one of the hub caps was missing. The fellows at Firebird Tire had called us when they were replacing the tires and let us know that the caps were rusted on and they may damage them beyond capability of putting back on - but when we got Gracie back with the new tires, the caps were on so we figured all was well. They had also been on when NIRVC took her in the morning, but were now missing. We walked around looking and then asked them to look -- there were soon a couple of guys combing the areas where they had driven Gracie, and they found the cap and returned it to us! The fellow who returned it bent the clips out a bit before he replaced it in hopes that would keep it on better - and he also took the cap off the other side and bent its clips too to attempt to make it stay on better. "It's always something!"

One more night in the NIRVC "campground" before we head out to Quartzsite!
