Lynchburg RV Resort

On Tuesday, July 7, we left the farm and moved to the Thousand Trails Lynchburg RV Resort. It was only a couple of hours drive (which was good because we left late from the farm). We were able to find a site that we could fit into and are enjoying our stay.
On our way, we crossed the James River just east of Richmond on I-295... they have recently completed renovations on the bridge, including painting it a pretty blue! I almost missed the picture with the tractor trailer about to pass us!
We have been enjoying the property and walks here at the Thousand Trails...
Our site... there are a lot of seasonals (people who rent their site for the whole season - May-October) here, so many of the sites are not available for folks coming in for short term like us.
We were able to find a site that is plenty long for Gracie and the Jeep.

The pool is up by the clubhouse - we've made use of it several times!

There is a cow pasture just around the corner from where our rig is parked in the campground... so we get to hear them at times and see them sometimes when we walk up in that area of the campground.
We are about 15-20 minutes drive from Lynchburg - went in on Friday to do some shopping. We were hoping for a little cooler weather (we are closer to the mountains of Virginia than when we're at the farm), but, no joy there!
