The Peachoid

The service folks called about 3:30pm Tuesday afternoon to ask if they could take the RV and work on it... we said, "Yes!" and got things closed up. They took it at about 3:45pm. We knew that they close about 4:30pm, so we wondered if there was any chance that they could get the problem diagnosed in that amount of time. We decided to go out and drive in the area while we were waiting. While we were stopped at a fruit market, Carl got a phone call - they had diagnosed the problem and, if they had the part in stock, could replace the failing component that afternoon! He okayed the repair, and we headed back to the "campground". Gracie came out of the shop at about 4:45pm and we got back parked and set up for the night.

We've tried turning the ignition on several times to make sure it is still working - so far so good! We are planning to pay our bill and head on out this morning, on Wednesday!

During our time away from the "campground" this afternoon, we visited the Peachoid, a water tower in the shape of a peach, to advertise the fact that Cherokee County is the largest peach producer in the state (and at one time, produced more than the whole state of Georgia, the Peach State, ref: Wikipedia).

We purchased some peaches and blackberries at the fruit stand:
we're letting the peaches ripen a little on the counter, but they both are very good!
