New bike parts

Carl had some new parts for our bikes shipped to son Scott's house ahead of our arrival. He worked on getting them installed on Saturday.

One thing he got was new tubes for the tires in case we have a flat -- always good to have a spare along.

To have room to carry the new tubes, he needed to make room in the "trunk bag" that he carries on the back of the bike -- taking everything out to determine what things need to be kept. You can also see to the right of his arm a new seat to be installed.

New seat going on...

... and being tightened. He also got a new seat post that has suspension in it to smooth out the bumps.

He also adjusted the shock absorption in the front fork.

I tried out the new seat and seat post and found them to be more comfortable too.

We are still enjoying our new bikes!
