Errands

Since we are in Willis, Texas (near Lake Conroe), and since our mail service is just about an hour's drive away in Livingston, we decided to drive over there on Tuesday to (1) get the Jeep inspected, (2) vote, and (3) pick up our mail.

We couldn't exactly remember the place where we had gotten the Jeep inspected back in 2020, but we remembered that it wasn't far from the Escapees Rainbow's End campground -- so we used our Google Timeline and found the location! It was right on the route that Google Maps suggested from where we are staying to get to Rainbow's End, so we stopped there and easily got the Jeep inspected.

We continued on to Escapee's to the Club House which is a Polk County polling place (it is actually "our" polling place, but Polk County residents can vote at any Polk County polling place). This is our picture with our "I Voted" stickers.

We walked across the driveway to the mail service window and picked up our mail including a couple of packages which had arrived there since our last delivery of mail (which we picked up in Lewisville, Texas a few weeks ago).

When we got back to the campground, we went to the Activities Center to see what activities were scheduled while we are here...

November weekday (Tuesday - Thursday) schedule

Friday, Saturday schedule

Friday, Saturday, Sunday food truck schedule

Lots of options of things to do!

In the afternoon, we headed over to Kim's apartment to enjoy time with Kim and the girls. Pamela also came over. Good to see family!
