Saturday with daughters Kim and Pamela - part 1

On Thursday, we drove from the Dallas area to Thousand Trails at Lake Conroe to stay for about a week and visit Carl's two daughters and their families who live in this area.

On Saturday, we had a full day driving into Houston...

... to visit a favorite restaurant of Pamela and Dylan's, Blue Nile with Ethiopian Cuisine.

We asked the waitress to take our group picture...

... Pamela ordered for all of us and got 5 servings of the mixed vegetarian platter -- you may be able to see that there are three duplicate servings on the larger platter and two on the smaller. So pretty and colorful. Can you see the collard greens? And salad in the middle... and a cabbage and carrot mixture next to the collards. I think the yellow was a yellow pea dish, and the greyish brown a lentil dish. The two red ones were more spicy.

They served pieces of injera (flat bread) for us to tear and use to serve ourselves.

It was an interesting meal, and nice to share with family!
