When Carl and Sue went fulltime in their RV in 2016, they left a small amount of items at the homes of two of their children. When one of those children and her family transferred to an assignment overseas, the items stored at her home joined the items at the home near where we've been staying in Elgin, IL. Since we now have a container in Virginia, and since we're planning to visit there this fall, we decided to see if we could take some of the stored materials with us to free up space in Carl's son's garage here.
As it turned out, after we took out all of the other things that we normally store in the Jee-rage,
... as long as there is only the need for a driver to use the Jeep, all of the items fit! |
The Jee-rage is packed from floor to ceiling, and from the back hatch to the back of the front seats... |
We moved the boxes that were temporarily located in the passenger seat of the Jeep, along with everything else that is usually in the Jee-rage, into the living room of Gracie. |
It will be uncomfortable for us while traveling in the rig, but doable for the short term. It will be good to consolidate storage to the container in Virginia, and we're hoping that it is better for Carl's son and his family to have that portion of their garage back for their own use.
