Some rooftop to-do's

On Tuesday, we decided to get a couple of rooftop to-do's done...

We had wanted to clean the Fantastic Fan over the kitchen area... after our stink bug infestation, there had been a number of "bug parts" remaining in the fan after we tried blowing them out at one point...

... so Patti started on cleaning the fan...

... it would have been easier if we'd taken it apart, but we figured the fan would be cleaner than it had been before as long as we cleaned what we could reach.

Meanwhile, Carl was replacing the vent caps. We had been getting smells from the grey tank inside the rig when we travel (if we remember to close the drains, we don't... but we don't always remember). Carl had replaced the vent covers on his previous motorhome (and the new format had already been installed on his 5th wheel when Sue and he purchased it), so he felt that the new type would work better to draw odors out as wind blows over the vent.

He needed to shorten the pipe on one of them.

New vent cover installed, silicone bonding around the bottom.

A little Gorilla tape to hold them in place while the silicone dries.

Two rooftop tasks completed - check!
