Getting parts

Jimmy is so gracious to do the service on Gracie while we are at the farm... so we went out on Friday to get the supplies that we needed to have on hand --

Carl had pre-ordered filters that we need at the Freightliner place...

... and we found that the best price for in-stock engine oil was at Sam's Club. (We found cheaper prices for the oil at other stores but they never have any in stock...).

We had gotten a bit of rain from the remnants of Hurricane Nicole on Friday... Jimmy mentioned that he was glad that he had cleaned the gutters the night before. I asked Carl if he had seen how Jimmy's gutters are cleaned, and he had not, so Jimmy demonstrated...

He did the demonstration on the side gutters on the front porch --

... not using the "official" tool...

... but it works to flip the gutter, which empties anything that has collected in there...

... everything dumped out!

These are gutters that work! You can imagine that it is particularly helpful to empty the gutters at the top of the house!
