A couple of weeks ago, I saw that one of my elementary school mates (Fred) and his wife (Yen) had taken a bike ride on the Virginia Capital Trail (Carl and I had celebrated our 4th month-versary by riding on it back in 2020). I commented to Fred that we wanted to do that while we were in Virginia this time, and he asked that we let them know when we were going. So, I contacted him yesterday, and we agreed to meet up to bike together.
Fred suggested that we meet up at Four Mile Creek Parking and bike to the Winery at Upper Shirley Vineyard for lunch -- sounded good to us!

After about 11 miles of riding, we got to the Upper Shirley Vineyards - the front of the building...

In front of the building -- if there is a wedding going on that day, the horse has the bride and groom's names and the date stenciled on it... Lindsey and Dan were getting married on Saturday!

After lunch (note: best to share a meal -- portions are generous!), we headed back on the trail to return to our vehicles...

It was nice to catch up with Fred, for me to meet Yen, and for Carl and them to meet. We had a good day!
