Our quick two-night stay at Thousand Trails Lake Conroe...
Our site at the Thousand Trails |
On our walk around the campground -- some primroses blooming |
On our drive to Kim's, we stopped to look at boots at Cavender's |
Carl had never been in a boot store -- and we had heard from someone at the Blue Bird rally that they no longer sell "roach killer" (extremely pointy pointed-toe boots) and they are now all square-toe or rounded-toe...
...we checked in the men's section and, indeed, they were almost all square toes, with a couple that were a bit rounded. |
The sales person said that women's boots still had some pointed toes...
... so we checked them out too. |
I miss my cowboy boots for dancing (the leather soles are so much better for "sliding") but not worth getting boots just for dancin'!
We went to Kim and family's apartment and showed granddaughters some line dances -- they enjoyed trying them out! Then we ordered some "Nashville Hot Chicken" for supper...
Carl put the label for his chicken on his shirt... |
... he is now known as "Lil' Heat"! |
I got "Wimp", but it was still spicy to my taste buds!
It was a good but short visit with family!
