Patti's brother, Jimmy, had contacted us a few days before we were to arrive to ask if Carl would be interested in taking a drive soon after we got to the farm. He needed to pick up a piece of farm equipment in North Carolina and Carl agreed to ride along. They ended up going on Tuesday after we arrived on the farm.
They left in the morning before sunrise -- Carl said he saw the moon about to set in the west before they left.
