Lots of doing, not many pictures!

We did a lot of running around on Friday... I (Patti) had an early morning appointment to get blood drawn for a doctor appointment in early April. When I got back to the rig, we both headed out to go to the Arizona Marketplace -- a swap meet with various vendors in stalls (https://azmktholdings.com/) -- we did not have anything specific that we needed, but we ended up with items from several shops. I had a noon appointment with UBreakIFix to get a new battery for my phone -- so we went there only to find out that they no longer service phones as old as mine. We met friends Will and Donna and Allen at Lin's Grand Buffet for lunch. We stopped at two different locations of Mr B's Bicycles to look at e-bikes -- and I found one that I really like... we're going to try to determine if it can fit into the back of the Jeep. We compared features and checked on prices for a replacement phone for me at Best Buy and the Verizon store. We stopped at Home Depot and got the 3' length of 50A (6/4) wire needed for the cord reel bay project -- they did not have any 50A (6/4) wire in the store when we were there a couple of days ago, but knew it was "on the truck" to be unloaded and told us it should be available by yesterday. We decided to give them an additional day to unload the truck and get the wire to the floor and found it right away when we got to the aisle -- we now have all the parts we need for that project.

The sole picture for the day:

As we were waiting to turn left out of a parking lot, this Honda Odyssey was turning left into the lot -- that is a structure built onto the top of the van. We aren't sure whether it is a sleeping area, or just headroom or what...

We thought it was interesting because we had talked with one of the folks in the Illinois chapter of Escapees back on Wednesday -- he had converted an MCI passenger bus into a motorhome about 20 years ago. He told us that he had raised the roof (12-18", we don't recall) -- cutting the top off of the bus and then reattaching it.

The thing that was interesting to both of us was how helpful and unpushy and seemingly having our best interest in mind all the folks were that we dealt with - in every store! In a couple of cases, they even went so far as to recommend where we could possibly get a better price or more responsive service than they were able to offer. When we left the last store (a Battery Plus store where we were checking to see if we could get the battery for my phone and where he suggested that I could acquire the battery from Amazon), we both commented on how nice everyone had been to us all day long.

    1. Hi Susan - have you gotten a refurbished phone from Amazon? That's what I'm thinking I should get... I want another Pixel but the Pixel 6 has issues that I don't want to deal with, so I'm thinking I will get a Pixel 5.
