On Monday, we traveled west about 150 miles to Yuma - staying at Araby Acres RV Park.
Along the way, we passed a solar power plant. |
Information found on Wikipedia:
The Solana Generating Station is a solar power plant near Gila Bend, Arizona, about 70 miles (110 km) southwest of Phoenix, completed in 2013. When commissioned it was the largest parabolic trough plant in the world and the first U.S. solar plant with molten salt thermal energy storage. We got to our campground and our site in Yuma -- moving from wide-open spaces with no hookups to rather tight spaces with full hookups! |
We are looking forward to a little over a week here in Yuma!
