Our last full day at Pinal County West Campground

Sunday was our last full day at Pinal County West Campground. Carl flew the drone again and got some pictures at our second campsite and showing the solar panels raised to help us capture as much solar energy as possible:

You can kind of tell that the 4 solar panels down the center of the roof are raised...

Easier to see that panels are raised. Theoretically, since it is March, we thought we would not need to raise the panels as the sun is getting higher in the sky, but we have definitely found that we are getting the best solar gains that we've ever gotten with our setup since we raised the panels.

We are thinking that we may still put 2 more panels on the roof - we would have room if we change the "batwing" TV antenna for a more compact antenna that does not need to be raised and lowered. With the panels we have, we are rarely able to fully re-charge our battery consumption on solar power alone... so we still need to use the generator to supplement every other day or so, and definitely if we use any cooking appliances (stove top, microwave, Instant Pot). We're still learning the capabilities of our system and the lithium batteries -- keeping our minds active!
