Blogging may be limited

On Monday, we moved from Morgan Hill to Lake of the Springs RV Park, near Oregon House, California. If you've never heard of Oregon House, that's because it is very small, and in a mountainous area, and, by the way, the cell service is definitely "iffy". We had heard that we may be able to get signal at the top of the hill in the campground, and... our devices showed "bars" after we drove up there, but we couldn't get anything on the internet. We've now driven a few miles away from the campground, and have good internet service, but we're in the Jeep and it isn't exactly "comfortable".

Some pictures from our move on Monday:

A picture of our new desk area with all the slides pulled in...

Looking toward the back... It actually feels that we have more space than we did with the sofa there. There were seatbelts secured through the floor of the slide for use if we were carrying passengers on the sofa, and we're using them to secure the desk legs as well as to hold our two desk chairs in place when we're traveling.

We did not have a sewer hookup at our site at Morgan Hill, so after being there two weeks, we needed to dump before leaving. They had two dump stations, one with two "holes" and one with just one... and wouldn't you know it, the one with two holes was closed on Monday morning. So we joined the line of folks at the other dump station. We were 3rd in line when we got there -- it ended up taking us about 40 minutes to wait our turn and dump.

On our drive to Lake of the Springs... one of the California freeways. For the most part, the drive was not bad - some highways are in pretty poor repair. We've found if we drive in some lane other than the right lane, it is often less bumpy, so we do that if possible.

I don't know whether we'll be leaving the campground everyday to get internet service, so I don't know whether we'll be blogging most days this week. Our plan has us leaving Lake of the Springs on Sunday, and I think we should have good signal for the next couple of weeks... so... if you don't hear from us, we're probably okay. If you need to reach us, either send email or leave a phone message and we'll be able to access those the next time we leave the campground!
