Saturday shopping

We used Saturday to get shopping done in advance of our next planned campground move...

We returned to the Morgan Hill Farmer's Market, and, in addition to the veggies that we got, we purchased some more of the Tomato Basil spread that we had gotten last week:

Although it is called "Tomato Basil Spread", the first ingredient is Fresh garlic, and... it definitely tastes like garlic is a primary ingredient! We have an agreement that we both must eat it so neither of us is offensive to the other!

We stopped at Smart & Final to look for a product that our friend, Nancy, asked for... neither of us had really shopped there before (I visited one in Blythe, CA several years ago). Carl saw Ovaltine which he has not seen for many years and took a picture to share with his brother -- in case Carl forgets to send the picture, maybe brother Steve will see the picture here!

We've been in California for almost 6 weeks, and we **finally** remembered to take our shopping bags into the store (we didn't remember them for Smart & Final, but we did for Walmart). Up to this point, we've been just paying for our purchases and then putting them back into the cart and carrying them out to the Jeep and unloading into the car -- usually into bags, which we always carry in the car, but which we just can't seem to remember to carry into the store with us!

Now, many of you may carry bags with you even if the store provides bags, and we could do that, but... we have a few uses of the disposable bags that we get from the stores (most importantly scooping Miss Kitty's litter pan). I guess we'd have to purchase bags for such important purposes if we lived in California all the time!
