As we were driving from Quincy on Monday morning, we enjoyed seeing crop names at the fields... my pictures aren't great, but you might get an idea of the large variety of crops grown...
This sign was on I-90 after we got onto it, but there was a similar sign just as we were leaving Quincy.
Alfalfa
Wheat |
Sweet Corn
Field Corn
Grapes (on the left) and Walnuts (on the right)
Potatoes |
Beans |
Grass Hay
The sign says, "Turf Grass" but there is a golf course beyond it...
Apples |
Timothy |
Another field of Alfalfa...
This one is being cut (prepared for baling).
No name label on this one, but it was a huge field of sunflowers.
After we got onto I-90, it was harder to get pictures as we were driving faster - but this one says Sweet Corn...
Wheat |
Timothy |
Another Sweet Corn
Longtime blog readers may remember a blog about this same subject in the Trekin' with the Cartwrights blog (http://trekincartwrights.blogspot.com/2017/09/geese-and-crop-signs.html) -- from 2017.
Once we got further east, there were no more signs identifying crops - but beautiful huge crop fields. I took this one because something is out there stirring up a lot of dust... and I told Carl that it was like Gracie (she kicks up a lot of dust in the campground).

We drove through Spokane from south to north on our way to our campground -- this bridge had a lot of height information supplied -- from 13'6" on the far left, to 13'10" in the traffic lane, then 13'3" at the supports in the middle, and 13'10" again above the traffic lanes. Gracie is 12'8", so we were okay...
