Getting to the ship took part of Saturday... but we were onboard by about noon, so there was still a lot of time to acquaint ourselves with the ship!
The Atrium is a gathering spot and has a large LED screen at one end.
We found a quiet place to sit for a while, and then joined a ship's tour of some of the public spaces. While we were on the tour, there was an announcement that our rooms were ready, so at the end of the tour, we headed to our stateroom.
Although we had booked an inside stateroom, we had submitted a "bid" for an upgrade to an oceanview cabin which was accepted. Since we were still at port, the view out the window was not great yet!

Looking back out toward the door of the room.
And a view of the bathroom - sink area and toilet...
.. and the shower area.
We're used to small spaces, and actually, we have a lot of storage space in the hallway with a closet, drawers, and shelves!
As it came close to time for sail-away - we found a spot along the rail to see the views!
Internet onboard is not horrible, but it isn't blazing fast either! More pictures of NYC in another post later hopefully!
