Both Thursday and Friday found us heading to Mechanicsville for various doctoring stuff.
On Thursday, Miss Kitty went to Banfield to get some of her annual "maintenance" done. She got some bloodwork done and then got her teeth cleaned. We talked to the vet about how much we appreciate the fact that they have her records from previous visits, and that we wished that there were medical and dental options for humans that provided the same -- Carl specifically would like to get his dental care done at Banfield as they put their patients under when they are being treated! This care required us to make two trips - one to drop her off, and the other to pick her up after she was recovered from the anesthesia.
(Side note: we've heard that Aspen Dental provides the shared record capability between their locations, and we've looked at going to get dental care for ourselves there, but... the ones we looked up in Virginia had pretty poor reviews, so we're sticking with the dentist we've seen before in Virginia!).
On Friday, I had some followups from the scans that were done in September in Illinois, so I went to Regional Memorial Hospital to get an ultrasound done. All looked good, so that was good to get behind me. We also went to the chiropractor and to get massages -- how good that felt!
Carl had been craving a Chinese Buffet, so he looked and found that a new one had opened just a few days ago on the east side of Richmond (the west side tends to have more "new" and "exotic" stuff).
"Grand Opening" of Hibachi Grill & Buffet |
It was nice and new -- we were there well past lunchtime (about 1:45pm) but there were a few other tables occupied in the area where we were sitting. |
Lots of bright serving tables with many, Many selections! |
The food was really tasty too! |
Carl had visited another "Hibachi Grill & Buffet" several years ago in Columbus, GA, and, not only did they have the same name, but the decor seemed similar. We asked, and the folks working there said that they were related to additional restaurants located in New Jersey, but no relationships to Georgia. We were pleased to find a nice Chinese bufft on the east side of town!
