Our last day exploring Acadia

We had planned to bike ride some more on the Carriage Roads in Acadia -- and decided to drive through parts of the park that we would not see biking on our way to the parking area for biking.

We got onto the Park Loop Road and stopped at an overlook...

Some history of what we were seeing

The sky and water were so beautiful.

Just lovely

And the Jee-rage adds a pop of color!

We made another stop - this near Sand Beach.

Again, the sky and water so beautiful.

I got a picture of the primary cameraman!

We remembered to bring the selfie stick.

Some of the waves coming in.

A bit further - now at Otter Point.

Looking out toward the Atlantic.

Some of the waves made huge splashes.

A tide pool

There's one of the big splashes!

We were trying to get a selfie with a big splash -- not quite so successful!

If the video ends up embedding correctly, maybe you'll get to see and hear a few seconds of waves:

In case the embedded video does not work, I've also uploaded it to YouTube: https://youtu.be/HPhP7QW2y-E

Carl sat down on the rocks so I could get his picture with the wave action...

... that isn't great wave action... oh well... we tried...

... but as soon as he got up!!!! There comes the wave!

We enjoyed our drive to where we were to park for the Carriage Roads. We actually parked at the Wildwood Stables, which are not yet open for the season, but there was available parking and a nice restroom there, so we stopped. There were also RV sites there -- I guess for seasonal workers, though we didn't talk to anyone to find out.

More later on our bike riding on the carriage roads.
