A very busy Saturday - part 3

Continuing Saturday (https://journeyinamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2025/08/a-very-busy-saturday-part-1.html, https://journeyinamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2025/08/a-very-busy-saturday-part-2.html)... we drove through Carl's childhood neighborhood in Elmhurst...

... his childhood home was second from the corner...

... there it is -- he noted that the front living room window is now a bow window...

... in the front, Carl noted that the awning over the front door is the same as when they lived there.

The driveway was the same as when they lived there -- doesn't look like it has been updated or possibly even maintained (sealed) for many years!

From Elmhurst, we drove over to Windsor Park to visit Carl's Mom... we found her in the common area of her area of the home, watching (or napping in front of) TV. We brought her back to her room to be able to chat with her...

I was texting on my phone with one of Carl's cousins and she asked me to send her a picture of Verna, so Mom posed for a picture and I sent it to Jenice.

While we were visiting with Mom, Carl called to order a pizza from Gianorio's, so once we left Windsor, we would head to Gianorio's to pick up our dinner. We took Mom to the dining room on her hall, and then left to pick up our pizza at Gianorio's...

After picking up our dinner, we headed to a park to eat...

We stopped at a neighborhood park and enjoyed our Gianorio's sausage pizza.

It was a busy day, but we enjoyed doing all our endeavors for the day!
