Lunch with friends

On Friday, we had arranged to meet with friends Laura (from Venture Out) and Val (from the Illinois chapter of the Escapees RV group) for lunch in Algonquin, Illinois.

We met at Port Edward, a restaurant right on the Fox River. They have outside seating, but we decided to opt for air conditioning...

Even inside the restaurant, they have a boat in a pool of water where you can evidently sit for your meal!

We were seated upstairs in the restaurant -- you can see that we had a view out to the river through big windows, which made taking a picture of us at the table problematic. 

We enjoyed our meal (Fried Walleye Fish was the Friday special) and even more visiting with our friends!
