Around Tom's Best Spring Road

On Wednesday evening, after we both got naps to rest up from our hike, Carl lit a campfire in the late afternoon:

We had collected wood from the area near our campsite on Tuesday afternoon.

On Thursday morning, we took a walk/hike around some of the roads that are near us that make loops. In the middle of one of the roads, there was this pretty flower blooming!

We had seen the roof of a structure along one of the loops, and walked by it...

Turns out it is part of a biking trail system where you can reserve stays at huts in Utah (https://aquariustrail.com/about-the-huts/). The huts are made out of shipping containers and include sleeping accommodations, fully equipped kitchens (I didn't pursue to see if you identify what food you want in the kitchen), ability to charge electronic devices and e-bikes, and a shower building.

Around the back side it is more obvious that these were once shipping containers. A nice fire pit provided for occupants too.

Some of our neighbors -- interesting looking rigs.

Carl thinks this is a home made trailer

He mentioned that it is "interesting" that someone who makes a home made trailer pulls it with a BMW SUV -- but people probably find it "interesting" that we are camping in a huge motorhome in a free camping area too.

Some more "neighbors" - parked farther away from where we are parked.

When we got back to Gracie, Carl wanted to take the drone to a meadow that we had found while walking, and I wanted to get one of the Bryce Canyon posts completed, so I worked in Gracie while he took the Jeep and the drone to the meadow.

A view around the meadow -- there is a class C rig parked on top of that small hill, and a trailer at one end of the meadow.

Otherwise, the meadow is open

Another view with the pilot (Carl)

Seeing a little more at a distance.

Ground level view!!!

After lunch, we decided to take a drive farther down Tom's Best Spring Road. A sign at the entrance to the road off Utah 12 indicates that Tom's Best Spring is 12 miles in...

And, sure enough, after about 12 miles, we found it!

It was a very merrily little flowing stream into that pond -- Carl said that the covering was hiding the water faucet and hose...

The road was in pretty good shape for the trip. Most RVs were within the first couple of miles from Utah 12, but there were a few much farther back.
