Last day of Blue Bird Rally

Saturday was the last full day of the Blue Bird Rally. We drove over to Scottville to hear the Scottville Clown Band (https://scottvilleclownband.com/). One of the "locals" who was part of the Blue Bird Rally described the band as individuals who had participated in band in high school and continued on into adulthood. It was part of the Scottville Fall Festival, so we took our chairs over and enjoyed the afternoon.

We figured we were in the right place when we saw the large John Deere harvester parked in the middle of Main Street.

There was a flag hung from an overhead wire at the other end of Main Street.

They not only played well, but were very entertaining as well!

A couple of videos:

One thing I learned at this rally was that the folks in this area are called "trolls". You may be aware that Michigan has two parts -- the "mitten" and the "upper peninsula". The folks who live on the UP are known as "YouPers" -- they are "above the bridge". Those in the northern or middle part of the "mitten" are "below the bridge" -- and you know what kind of folk live below the bridge: trolls!

Every evening at the rally, there was a campfire and we enjoyed visiting around the fire with new and old friends.

The "fire master" (son of the rally host) had some fire sticks that caused different colors of flames in the campfire.

It was really pretty!

We enjoyed our time with the Blue Bird Rally!
