Antelope Valley Swap Meet and Charlie Brown Farms Market

We visited the Antelope Valley Swap Meet and Charlie Brown Farms Market...

The swap meet (http://avswapmeet.com/) was huge - lots of different vendors, lots of different items.

We probably walked about 2 miles up and down and around and about! We didn't have any specific thing we wanted to find, so just enjoyed looking. Carl figures we saved several hundred dollars!

Then we headed to Charlie Brown Farms Market.

It is an interesting store with quite a collection of odd and unusual items.

We spent a bit of time in the Soda Room -- never imagined so many different kinds!

Including pickle flavored soda...

... Saranac 1888 Shirley Temple Hand-crafted soft drink and Farrah Fawcett Cream Soda (as well as John Wayne Root Beer and Fairy Princess Shirley Temple)...

...Grass Soda and Dirt Soda...

...Bacon Soda and Bacon Soda with Chocolate, as well as Lemon Meringue Pie and Blueberry Pie

Some rather disgusting names: Kitty Piddle, Dog Drool, Fungal Fruit.

There were also all kinds of nuts and candies -- candy from way back in our childhood, including candy and bubble gum cigarettes! We were able to resist purchasing anything there too!

We discussed that one of the advantages of living in a "tiny home" is that it is easy to resist just buying something, knowing that we'd have to find room for it in the rig and probably something else would have to leave!
