On Sunday afternoon, we decided to take a drive that Linda had researched... up the coast to the north -- we drove as far as Depoe Bay, and stopped at Tidal Raves Seafood Grill for a bite to eat...
From our table, we could see Arch Rock and also whale watching boats and whales blowing and coming to the surface out in the bay (no pictures of whales... sorry!).
After eating, we drove a short ways south through Depoe Bay and stopped at Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint.
We got a selfie with our friends from Texas, Jim and Linda...
... and one with just the two of us.
The views all around were just magnificent!
The blues in the sky and on the ocean...
There were some caves across the inlets to the north.
Carl did some videos (and I still am having problems embedding videos in my posts), so I uploaded them to YouTube: https://youtu.be/atbi0u9s7DE for you to enjoy the wave action!
Some pictures of the waves - so many shades of blue and green!
Another view of the caves across the inlet
Good screen saver pictures!
Just beautiful!
Jim, Linda, and Bailey enjoying the view!
We stopped at a couple of more overlooks along Otter Crest Loop on our way south...
Looks like a large resort development down there!
More about our trip on Sunday afternoon in another post!
Many thanks to Linda for researching and planning the trip - what beautiful places she found!
