On Monday, we reluctantly left Bend to head further north into Washington State.
We had views of several snow-capped mountains on our trip, including Mount Hood, which is east of Portland, Oregon |
On the way, just north of Salem, Oregon, we passed a roadside marker (that we could barely read as we drove by) indicating that we were at the 45th parallel, halfway between the equator and the north pole!
We have settled in for a week at the very first Thousand Trails campground (or so I've been told), Chehalis, just outside Chehalis, Washington. We are located about midway between Mount St Helens and Mount Ranier, though a bit west of where they are located. God's beautiful creation!
