Installing the MagneShade

Carl had purchased a previously-used MagneShade from a guy who had a similar rig - we had tried it out to see if it fit - the front windshield shade fit fine, as well as the side window on the passenger side. (The driver's side window and entry door window did not.) Carl had installed the magnets on the side window, but we had only put the magnets in place temporarily on the front window. Since we were getting ready to move the rig, we decided that it was time to get the magnets installed permanently.
I was working on the outside -- pulling the shade with the magnet in a pocket on the outside away from the windshield to allow the magnet on the inside to be released.

I also tried to keep the shade stretched so when the magnets on the inside were placed, they would attach in the place that would keep the shade stretched whenever it was installed.

Meanwhile, Carl was placing the magnets on the inside - this involved taking the magnet off the inside (it was "stuck" due to the magnet on the outside holding it, and also sometimes because some of the sticky on the magnet was stuck to the window). He cleaned the window where the magnet was to go, and then, using a metal spatula / pancake turner, put the magnet back in place - with the sticky side exposed so it would stick permanently. I would be holding the outside magnet against the window where the magnet needed to be placed, and the attraction of the outside magnet would cause the inside magnet to leave the spatula and stick to the window.

All installed!
We would like to get a window covering for the driver's side window, and possibly for the entry door too... the ones Carl had previously gotten are not the correct size/shape for his rig.

We got directions on how to do the job from YouTube:

We are happy with the way it provides sun relief, especially for the front windshield, where a lot of heat gain occurs with the sun coming through that big glass. As compared to front inside shades (which the rig also has) - this tends to stop the heat before it gets in, where the inside shades stop the the heat after it gets into the rig.
