Produce patch harvest

One day this past week, church members from Jimmy and Regina's church came to harvest collards:

Some picking had already happened - bags in the back of the pickup.

The collards are covered with a fabric that helps to reduce the number of bugs that would get to the plants. The covers are removed for picking.

Just behind and to the left of the man standing you can see that the plants were picked. In front of him, you see the beautiful plants ready to pick.

Mostly picked on the rows to the right - still to be picked in the middle and to the left. Alfalfa in the field beyond!

I think I heard that 130 pounds of collards were harvested and distributed to a local area food pantry!
