The collards are covered with a fabric that helps to reduce the number of bugs that would get to the plants. The covers are removed for picking. |

Just behind and to the left of the man standing you can see that the plants were picked. In front of him, you see the beautiful plants ready to pick. |

I think I heard that 130 pounds of collards were harvested and distributed to a local area food pantry!
