Shipshewana Flea Market

On Tuesday, we enjoyed visiting the Shipshewana Flea Market in the morning. It is a *huge* flea market. Their brochure indicates that they have nearly 700 booths on 40 acres (https://shipshewanatradingplace.com/flea-market/). We guessed that about 75-80% of the booths were occupied, so there were plenty of things to see. While there was some duplication between booths (especially in the really cheap stuff), there was a lot of diversity and lots of things to see.

Carl thought these might be for people who have memory problems...

The types of things in this shop were being sold at a few shops in the market - though I only saw the umbrella hats being modeled in this one!

This picture makes it look like the market was very empty - it wasn't full, but there was a good crowd of people there.

While there were a lot of shops that had dog things, I only saw this one sign about a cat...

Another view down an end aisle. You might notice a person on an electric scooter on the right - those were available for rent at one of the booths - and if you had any difficulty walking, you may have wanted one because there was a *lot* of walking.

On our way back to the campground, there was a bridge that you could walk up on to go over one of the driveways in the flea market. The traffic wasn't all that busy (and I can't imagine it would ever be so busy to make this bridge necessary), but it gave us a view over the market...

There were a few permanent structures

and then there were tents too.

Looking back toward the campground.

We figured that staying at this campground would allow us to have easy access to the market, and it did.

Miss Kitty was concerned that we might bring fleas back from the flea market, but I don't think we did!
