Advantages of the SeeLevel

I posted a few weeks ago that one of the projects we got done on the farm was to install a SeeLevel tank monitoring system on Gracie.
https://journeyinamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2020/06/getting-stuff-done.html

We had wanted to be on full hookups so we could fill and dump our tanks easily. We tested out the system more while at the Lynchburg RV Resort a couple of weeks ago.

Having the SeeLevel system makes it like you have more space in your tanks...
The monitor that came with Gracie from Newmar
Close up - for the "Fresh" tank (the one Carl has selected), it is indicating Empty ... Notice that the measurements are in 1/3s - so once the water level is below 1/3 tank, the monitor registers empty.
But the SeeLevel system gives us percentage full - for the Fresh tank, it still had 29% available! If we were boondocking and not at hookups, we could relax and know that we could still last for a couple of days before we'd need to find a place to fill up with fresh water!

I'm doing some additional testing - the Grey tank sensors do not seem to register when the Grey tank is close to empty... but... for the Grey and Black tanks, we don't care so much when they are near empty... the bigger issue is when they are close to full. And... conversely, we don't care too much about the Fresh tank being full, but when it is getting close to empty.

We have found some anomalies with our installation - but we're working with Garnet to try to get them resolved.
