Sunday

We spent a relatively quiet Sunday at Venture Out:

We joined the church service here within the resort...

... the chairs were placed a social distancing amount apart...

There was a nice group gathered.

We heard a message from Pastor Timothy Hall, from Sunshine Acres Children's Home (https://sunshineacres.org/).

"Sunshine Acres provides a loving, wholesome, Christian home for children who are separated from their parents and helps them establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures, preparing them for success in adult life."

Pastor Hall has a ministry with puppets called Buddy & Friends Adventure Club. Check it out on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzV5p3tw-JlAg3PowL17ZiA

Normally the children do a Christmas concert and it would be presented here at Venture Out as well as other venues around the Mesa/Phoenix area, but, with the restrictions this year, they have made changes to their concert, making it available on YouTube instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXQrJ0Cp3zM

If you aren't getting to see a children's program this year, or even if you are, I think you'll enjoy this one!

We came back to the rig and joined our home church in Irving, MacArthur Boulevard Baptist. We always enjoy joining with the singing and hearing the message.

Miss Kitty also enjoys listening... She was spread out just about as long as she can get in the sunshine coming in the window.

We did a few tasks around the motorhome in the afternoon, including doing some Christmas decorating (pictures of that later!)...

We took the Jeep over to the car washing area within the resort and got several weeks of grime washed off of it...

Even though the pictures are only of me doing the washing, but it was definitely a joint project!

We are enjoying being "at home" for a little while -- though the number of projects to do has increased at least by a factor of two, as we have added projects for the lot here as well as the projects on the motorhome. Oh well, no fear of us getting bored and sedentary!
