Preparing for Brunswick Stew

This weekend is the Fall Festival / Brunswick Stew / BBQ at Jimmy and Regina's church.

We helped by cleaning the kettles in preparation for the stew cooking on Saturday:

... but once again, Carl was taking the pictures...

... so he set up his phone to take a time delay picture...

... so you can see that Carl is busy working too!

After scrubbing (they didn't need much cleaning this year), it was time to rinse...

... rinsing.

After letting them dry, we coated the inside with vegetable oil (to prevent any rust developing the next couple of days) and then sealed with cling wrap and plastic to keep until cooking on Saturday!

Later in the day...

... Jimmy and Carl loaded them on the trailer in preparation for taking to the church on Friday / Saturday.
