A move south and visit with friends

On Thursday, we left Thousand Trails Thunderbird near Monroe, Washington, and drove south to Thousand Trails Chehalis (near Chehalis, Washington).

On our way south on I-5, we could faintly see a mountain in the distance to the east -- we think it was Mount Rainier.

We had arranged to get together with my former college mate, Kim, and his wife, Jing, in the lat afternoon. We had visited with them a couple of years ago (when we were also in Chehalis). This time, we decided to go out for pub fare in downtown Tigard, at Cooper Mountain Ale Works (https://www.coopermountainaleworks.com/)...

Carl and I both got burgers (one Classic Pub Burger, and one Stout BBQ) and split them...

... so we each got half of each burger and shared the sides (waffle fries and beer cheese soup). It was all yummy though the soup was a little runnier than we had thought it would be.

It was a pretty afternoon, so we sat outside and enjoyed chatting.

After eating, we went back to Kim and Jing's home and had tea with a delicious walnut tart that Jing had made.

It was great getting to visit with friends again!
