On Wednesday, we had arranged to meet niece Ginny for a hike near Tucson.

We agreed to meet at the Sweetwater Preserve Trailhead. |

There were a lot of different types of cacti on the hike - though the most visible were saguaros.

Carl remembered one of his first hikes in Arizona when he saw one of these and was about to reach out to touch it when a more knowledgeable friend cautioned him against it! |
