Things to do at the resort

When we got to our lot, one of our first activities was to let the onsite post office know that we are here so they start delivering any mail that arrives to our post office box.

While we were there, we took a look at information about some of the activities and clubs here at Venture Out -- and took pictures so we could remember the information!

Carl is involved with the Amateur Radio Club (a "devision" (sic) of the Electronics Club).

... So he is also part of the Electronics Club.

There are water exercise classes -- there's also water volleyball available.

There are three different groups of hikers in the park -- when we were here in early 2021, we tried going with the middle group, but we found that they were in much better shape than we were and hiked fast with very limited stops! We're thinking that we will need to go with the Trekkin' Tortoise group (the slowest group) if we go on hikes this year.

We attended the "Newcomers" meeting on Friday, where they told us about the park and things going on. One of the ladies who presented said that her grandchildren call Venture Out "Winter Camp for Seniors" -- and that sounds like an apt description!

We also got tickets to attend the Friday night dance and joined it on Friday evening:

The band was Johnny K & Kompany...

Nice to be able to listen to and dance to live music!

Winter camp for seniors, indeed!
