Thursday was the last full day of the Chapter 46 - Lincolnland Rally.
There was a business meeting in the morning for election of officers. |
Earlier in the year, there had been concerns about whether the chapter would be able to continue in existence due to lack of attendance at rallies and lack of folks interested in being officers, but many people expressed that they wanted the chapter to continue and there were individuals willing to take on the needed leadership roles, so the chapter continues on!
The hosts of the rally had made a prop that they used earlier in the week to take pictures of all the rally attendees -- and they printed out the pictures and posted them for all of us to see...
For the bonfire gathering on the last evening, Brian Ellis, in his persona as Abraham Lincoln's boyhood friend, Austin Guliher, presented "Stories of Lincoln"...
He was engaging, entertaining, and informative!

I could not find the specific stories he told us online, but here is a YouTube video that can give you a taste of his style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44avJ3v5Qx8
