Enjoying our time around Elgin

We continue to enjoy our time around Elgin, Illinois...

On Friday morning, Carl dropped me off for physical therapy...

... while he went to get the Jeep's oil changed...

... he had found a Groupon so he could get a discounted oil change at Valvoline. We figured he might have a wait since it was Friday morning, but there was no one else there, so he got right in!

He also stopped at an Aldi's to see if he could get some of the items on our list, but that particular Aldi's seemed to be limited in its stock and he wasn't able to find many things.

Carl picked me up after my physical therapy -- it is going very well -- I've recovered a *lot* of movement in just a week -- the "ice" is breaking up in my "frozen" shoulder... Hurrah!

Carl got a box at Aldi's to carry the few things he purchased, and when we got home, he put it on the couch to see if Miss Kitty would get into it. We often say that she is not a typical cat, and this is one of the ways that demonstrates it... she is not attracted by boxes at all. I put her heating pad into the box, so she got in, but...

... she had challenges washing while in it....

... and then she looked at us like, "Why are you doing this to me?" -- never lying down and getting comfortable. So, we put her heating pad back flat on the couch, removed the box, and she was a happy girl!

Another RV moved into the site right across the road from us in the campground -- it had a very similar color scheme to Gracie...

... here's a picture of Gracie for comparison. Gracie's design has more of the darker colors, and maybe has a darker range of colors overall, but the two were similar. The one across the road was a Winnebago, so different manufacturer, although Winnebago purchased the Newmar company a few years ago, so is now the parent company.

On Friday night, we were invited over to Scott and Kristen's for Lou Malnati's pizza...

... first time to have Lou's in about a year -- yum!

We're still getting things completed while we're here in the Chicagoland area!
