Friends Cathy and Ed have recently moved back to the Chicagoland area from Arkansas, so we were able to meet up with them on Monday. They are living in Crystal Lake, and we are staying in Belvidere, so Woodstock, Illinois was between the two locations.
I asked Carl if this was the place where there was a big music festival (I knew *that* Woodstock was in NY state), and he said no, but...

After lunch, Ed and Cathy invited us to come back to see their new-to-them home in Crystal Lake.

They have a huge home with plenty of space for two families, and plenty of scope for updates to the property - it backs up to preserve land that is currently being farmed - so no one will be building behind them. It is a pretty property and we look forward to seeing all that they will do to it as they put their personal stamp on it!
