Gracie had accumulated road grime from multiple states and Canadian provinces (I think we last washed her in Washington state last year in August - https://journeyinamazinggrace.blogspot.com/2022/08/cleaning-gracie.html) -- we had asked at the Mothership if we would be given a free coach wash, but found out that the complementary washes are only for folks who are under warranty service. If there is a good soaking rainstorm, that's a good time to get out and wash the rig... but we haven't had one of those at a time and place that has worked for washing the rig -- so... since Paul Wolff is one of the few campgrounds that allows washing at the sites, we decided to do it while we're in Elgin.
We started on the roof -- the roof and the solar panels were pretty dirty. |
Obviously, it is better to start at the top so the dirty water runs down the sides before cleaning the sides! |
Rear and one side cleaned! We took a break... |
... then continued with the other side... |
... Carl said that since he was taking so many pictures of me cleaning... |
... that everyone would think I did it all myself... and I said that was what I was going to say on the blog!!! |
But Carl did much more than half -- and with a smile! |
We even finished up with washing the Jeep! |
Lots and lots of dirt removed! |
Unfortunately, using the tap water, we have a lot of water spots. Maybe we'll get energized and do the liquid wash 'n' wax too at some point soon!
