On Tuesday, Carl spent a bit of time trying to find replacements for the brake lights on Gracie...

We took pictures of the current lights -- this is one of the rear brake lights on the right side that is bright in the center 4 lights and dim on the 3 to each side (not visible in the picture)...

... and the third brake light in the center of the back - which has many of its LEDs no longer working (also not visible in the picture)...

... and tried zooming in on various numbers on the lights.

Sometimes RV manufacturers use a light assembly from a passenger vehicle, and it is easy to source from common automotive online sites. Carl was able to find a replacement for the rear brake light on Amazon and got that ordered. We couldn't find anything with the exact numbers for the third brake light, though there is one that has similar measurements on eBay (though not available to be shipped before we'll leave Illinois). Carl decided to try a longer third brake light that he found on Amazon, we'll see if that works... at least temporarily. We need to get Gracie inspected when we get back to Texas, and, while they often do not inspect *anything* on a diesel RV, we figure if we don't have it working, they'll be sure to inspect it this time!
I had ordered seat covers for the Jeep, and they came to the Amazon locker in Belvidere on Monday. The rain let up for a little bit, so we decided to try getting them installed on Tuesday afternoon...

New seat covers

They look pretty good!

This tear on the side of the driver's seat was the impetus to get the covers -- we figured it would just get worse over time...

They look pretty good and feel good too!

It is a constant job to keep things maintained around any home, isn't it?
