Last day of SKP Christian Fellowship Q Rally for 2022

Thursday was the last day of the Escapees Christian Fellowship rally for 2022.

We started with breakfast for the Solo's - a group of single RVers who camp just down the way from our camping area:

Breakfast potluck line

After breakfast, we had a concert by the Balyeat family

Mom and Dad and 4 kids (two in this picture) -- the Dad was part of his parent's singing group (also known as The Balyeats - https://www.thebalyeats.com/)

One of my cat-loving friends showed me her tea towel because she knew I would like it!

The Balyeat family -- In addition to seeing the family, note how the motorhome looks from this side.

This is the view from the other side... the first time we saw them, we saw a large class A coming in to our area towing a small class C behind. We saw it from the passenger side, and it looked like a relatively nice older class A... until it turned around! It seems that they were gifted this rig (a salvage vehicle - meaning, I think that it has been officially totaled), and are slowly making improvements to it. The bodywork on the driver's side is still to be completed!

In the afternoon, we had our last worship and devotion session together, completed with sharing the Lord's Supper together.

We finished up with a group picture:

Carl and I are on the far left side -- I was taking the picture (with a timer on the camera mounted on a tripod), so I ran from the camera to get into the picture.

In the afternoon, Carl spent quite a bit of time working through getting our generator to charge the batteries. It had been working earlier in the week, but stopped on Wednesday. The generator was supplying 110V power when it was running, but not charging the batteries. He tried resetting each item in the system, and finally found that, when he removed power from the inverter and then restarted it, that corrected the problem. We are not sure how it got into an error state, but we're glad it is corrected -- we weren't sure that we wanted to go boondocking in Mexico if we did not have the ability to charge the batteries from the generator (in addition to solar charging) - just in case solar is not sufficient to keep the batteries well charged.

For the evening meal, the Solo's invited us to their camping area for hotdogs with all the trimmings. We brought veggies and desserts, and enjoyed being with them again. Their rally is just starting, as ours is coming to an end.

We are driving on Friday from Quartzsite to Ajo, Arizona, with the plan (God willing) to enter Mexico on Saturday.
