Monday was our annual auction day to raise money for CARE - Continuing Assistance for Retired Escapees.
We decided to go for a bike ride in the morning ... this is one of the many roads through the desert near where we park --this picture is looking west...
... and looking back east...
Carl on the same road. It may look like a nice smooth dirt track, and... it isn't horrible... but there are a lot of rocks in the track, so it is pretty rough.
We had a time of worship in the morning, and then after lunch, in mid afternoon, it was time for the CARE auction.

The auction is a "brown" bag (or colorful bag or wrapped package) auction, so you don't know what you're bidding on until you win it and open it. After each winning bid, everyone waits and watches to see what the winning bid has gotten!

After a baked potato supper, the rising moon was beautiful::

Gracie and the rising moon

One of our friends at the rally took this picture of Gracie with the rising moon.

We enjoyed being at the campfire in the evening, and watching the International Space Station fly overhead. It was a long visible transit (almost 6 minutes) and the sky was clear enough that we could see almost the entire journey.
